Recruitment Registration Opens August 1

Fall Recruitment takes place September 1st – 14th

Any student who wants to participate in fall 2026 recruitment must register with the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs.  Be sure to register early so chapters can include you on their distribution list of info related to fall recruitment events.

All of our member sororities are expected to hold a Meet the Sisters event once a month during the fall.  Interested students are encouraged to attend more than one organization’s recruitment events so they may find the group or groups best suited for them.

Opportunities for joining in the fall are:

  • Limited to Upper-Class and Transfer students.  First Year students may attend events, but may not join until spring 2027 recruitment in late January. Upper-Class and Transfer students may join in the fall provided they meet the terms of Academic Eligibility.
  • Limited by sorority membership size.  Only those chapters with space in their roster may invite students to join in the fall.  We won’t know which chapters are taking new members until late August when they revise their membership rosters. On average NPC organizations will take 10 – 15 new members, Alpha Omega Epsilon and Phi Sigma Rho will take 15 – 20.

Fall Recruitment Tips:

  • Visit the social media sites of the sororities you are interested in to find out more details (date, location, time and how to RSVP) about their individual Meet the Sisters events.
  • If a Meet the Sisters event will be held twice on one night you only need to attend once, no need to attend both times.
  • All events are open to all interested women, with the exception of any “by invitation only” events.
  • In person events may take place in the chapter’s lettered house on or near the College Ave campus (if they have one) or in a campus student center or academic buildings.
  • If in person events are taking place, and masks are needed, or you feel ill, please wear a mask as we want to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Financial Obligations:

Each organization’s Fall 2026 Financial Obligations (dues and fees) will be included on their page in our website by August 1, however current fees and dues information is still listed on their pages.

Be advised, items covered in the fees will vary from group to group.  Meal Plan and Housing costs are also included in this document.  It is the responsibility of each Potential New Member to read and understand the financial obligations of the organization BEFORE accepting an invitation to join.  Students are encouraged to review this info with their parent/family members so they may make informed decisions together.

If You Are Asked To Join:

NPC sororities want every Potential New Member to be informed about their options for joining a sorority. At the completion of recruitment, students who are invited to join an NPC organization will be asked to sign a Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement (MRABA).

The MRABA is a binding contract between the Potential New Member and the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).  All NPC member organizations must follow the terms of the contract.  Students are only asked to sign the MRABA after they’ve been invited by an NPC sorority to join. The terms of the fall MRABA can be found on our site.  Students should not enter into this contract with the sorority they have been asked to join unless they understand the terms.  If you have questions or need further support regarding this decision, please email ofsa@echo.rutgers.edu
