NPC sororities in the Panhellenic Council (Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, Phi Mu, Phi Sigma Sigma, Sigma Delta Tau and Zeta Tau Alpha) participate in Formal Recruitment, held January 17th – February 1st.

Alpha Omega Epsilon Sorority (Engineering and Technical Science) and Phi Sigma Rho National Engineering Sorority do not participate in Formal Recruitment.  Instead, they will be holding spring recruitment events January 20th – February 1st.  These sororities will hold Meet the Sisters Events and Info Sessions which allow interested students to ask questions, learn about financial obligations, time commitments, and membership requirements. Check social media for exact times, dates and locations.

How to Participate:

  • Regardless of the type of sorority they wish to join, all students must register for recruitment with OFSA.  Registration with OFSA allows the office to verify your academic eligibility and share your contact information with the chapters.  A student must have their academic eligibility confirmed before an organization may ask them to join.
  • Students participating in NPC Formal Recruitment have a two-step registration process.  They must register with OFSA AND for formal recruitment, creating a profile in ICS.
  • Students participating in spring recruitment for Alpha Omega Epsilon and Phi Sigma Rho have a one-step registration process. They must register with OFSA.

Financial Transparency Information about our chapters is posted on each chapter’s page site year-round.  Be sure to review that important information with your parents/family so that you can ensure you can meet a sorority’s financial obligations (dues, fees, housing requirements, etc.) should you join.

2026 Formal Recruitment Schedule

Formal Recruitment Orientation

All Orientation Sessions will be held virtually.  The Orientation schedule will be posted to the Panhellenic Council Instagram and website after November 10th.  All students who want to participate in Formal Recruitment are required to have attended one Orientation Session. Failure to attend Orientation will result in the student being removed from the recruitment process without a refund of the registration fee.

Saturday, January 17th or Sunday, January 18th (9:00am – 6:30pm) – Open House Round (virtual)

Participants will virtually visit each of the 8 participating NPC sororities on line.  After completing this round, you will be asked to submit a list of sororities, in rank order, you’d like to return to during the Philanthropy Round.

Saturday, January 24th and Sunday, January 25th (9am – 11pm) – Philanthropy Round (in person)

Participants may visit no more than 5 sororities during this round.   Visits with the sororities are based on the invitations a student receives and (when possible) managing any schedule conflicts.  Although we will do our best to schedule your parties all on the same day, you should make plans to be available both days.  After attending all the parties on their schedule, students will be asked to submit the list of sororities, in rank order, they’d like to return to during the Preference Round.

Sunday, January 31 (9am – 10pm) – Preference Round (in person)

Participants may visit no more than 2 chapters during this round.   Schedules are based on the number of invitations a student receives and (when possible) scheduling around any conflicts.  After attending all the parties on the schedule, you will be asked to submit a list of sororities, in rank order, you’d join if invited to become a member.

Sunday, February 1st (8pm – 6:30pm) – Bid Day (in person)

Students who have been asked to join a sorority will receive their bid (invitation to join) at Bid Distribution (location and details will be provided after Preference Round).  New Members will then be dismissed to participate in welcome activities with their sorority and new member class.

ATTENDANCE, SCHEDULE CONFLICTS & ABSENCE POLICY

Students will be asked to complete a Schedule Conflict Form for the dates of recruitment.  We will always do our best to create your schedule around any stated conflicts, however we cannot guarantee that we can resolve all conflicts and get you to all the events to which you’ve been invited.  Take steps now to ensure your maximum availability.

Students must be able to attend all Open House parties in order to participate in recruitment.
