Each year OFSA coordinates opportunities for students to join our three honorary societies.  Questions about membership can be sent to ofsa@echo.rutgers.edu

 

Gamma Sigma Alpha National Greek Academic Honor Society was founded at the University of Southern California in 1989 and is dedicated to the advancement of higher education and academic accomplishment.  Students are invited to join each semester based on academic achievement. Membership is limited to upper-class students with a 3.5 cumulative GPA or a 3.5 GPA in any semester of their junior or senior year.

Order of Omega – was created in 1959 at the University of Miami to recognize fraternity/sorority members who attained high scholarship, leadership, service and campus involvement.  The Kappa Xi chapter of The Order was established at Rutgers on March 15, 1990.  Membership is limited to the top 3% of the fraternity and sorority community.  Members are selected in the spring semester based on an application and their involvement in leadership, scholarship and service on campus.

 

Rho Lambda National Sorority Leadership Recognition Society – founded in 1962 at the University of Miami, the Society is open to all sorority women and recognizes those who have exhibited the highest qualities of leadership and service to their Greek community and sorority.  The Beta Eta chapter of Rho Lambda initiated its first group of members on September 16, 1983 and accepts applicants each spring. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and show significant contributions to their sorority.
