Spring COB (Continuous Open Bidding) takes place immediately after the conclusion of the Panhellenic’s Formal Recruitment.
Regardless of the type of sorority a student wants to join, ALL interested students MUST register for recruitment in order to participate in the process. Students must also meet the Academic Eligibility criteria outlined by OFSA in order to be considered for membership. Any academic eligibility issues (grade changes, incomplete credits, class registration, etc.) must be resolved before a student may be invited to join.

FAQ:
- What chapters are holding recruitment events? We won’t know which organizations might be continuing to recruit until after Formal Recruitment ends. Check individual chapter social media for details.
- Do I have to register? If you’ve already registered for the spring Formal Sorority Recruitment you do not need to register again. Chapters already have access to your information. If you’ve never registered for any type of spring recruitment you must do so in order for the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs to confirm your academic eligibility. Chapters cannot invite you to join until your eligibility status is verified.
- Is there a registration fee? No. There is no fee to sign up for COB recruitment. There are fees associated with being a sorority member. Financial Transparency Information is posted on each chapter’s page on our site year-round. Be sure to review that important information with your parents/family so that you can ensure you can meet a sorority’s financial obligations (dues, fees, housing requirements, etc.).
- I was matched with a sorority during the NPC Formal Recruitment and I decided to drop out of the new member program, or decided to not accept a bid. Can I join a different organization? No. Because you signed the MRABA you aren’t eligible to join any other NPC sorority until January 2025.
- I participated in Formal Recruitment but dropped out, or never signed the MRABA. Can I join a sorority? Yes.
